7 foot long slide rule?

I came across a couple of 7 foot long slide rules. They are "Pickett" brand and made of wood. Does anyone have any idea WHY Pickett would make these? Are they worth anything? They are too bulky and heavy to really use.

They were made for store displays and advertising. Not made to actually use in the real world. As far as being worth anything you will have to find an antique appraiser and them. Or if you can maybe contact Antiques Roadshow.
