what is the difference btw mediation and good offices in international law? thank you v much

In mediation, the conflicting countries submit themselves to a tribunal that will try their dispute and the decision will be binding between them.

In Good Office, the disputing countries request another country to look into their conflict but its decision might be accepted or not by the parties.
