The surfboard will have a jet drive built into its rear end.
The weed eater motor will be sitting on top at the rear of the board behind a seat back inside a box with a snorkel.
What else is needed to get this little motor ready for salt water action? A special cooling core? An extra water cooling pump with an intake and an outlet?
What would normally be required to get a regular motor ready for water action?

pretty well... no prep except dismounting it from the weed-eater.

The problem is building the stuff to hook it up to the jet drive. Fabricating a snorkle for the intake... fairly simple tubing work.

I don't have a specific answer to this question but I want to say how much I enjoy your questions and somewhat...er, off-center.....approach to nautical things!
Keep up thinking outside the box!

First buy a LOT of life insurance.

Salt water will destroy most of the metal parts of that motor in short order.

When it blows wit you on top, your beneficiaries will thank you for planning ahead, LOL
