and why is it that when i put SO much information down on an answer that i actually researched, i never get chosen as the best answer?-they always choose some guy who took a random guess!

Too much information people are too impatient to read through for one thing. I too have done a lot of research to give the most helpful answer and someone else gets selected.

The questioner has the right to choose the answer they want so just shake it off and keep doing your best-don't get discouraged-there are people who appreciate good answers if it is informative, concise, well written and no foul language.
And maybe it was a huge help to someone who was just reading didn't ask the same Q but needed the info! wow! I have had that happen to me more than once.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I think you're making a bigger deal out of this than it needs to be. Sure, I don't agree with some of the things that Kokoro, Daoshi, and Karate Dave (as well as many other such good individuals here on Y!A) have said, just like I'm sure that many of you have probably disagreed with some of the things I've said. And sure, sometimes we've also said things that we've regretted later, or have said something that probably could have been phrased better. We're human. We make mistakes. We have viewpoints of our own, right or wrong. I accept that people won't agree with me, and maybe because of that I've also accepted that sometimes there will be people for whom it seems their entire existence seems to revolve around dissing other people, even though there seems to be no real basis for their accusations. These individuals here on Y!A (whether "they" really are many separate individuals or just a single person using multiple accounts) bash because they are schmucks, and the more attention we give them, the more they bash. There's a very good reason why the old saying "Don't feed the trolls" is uttered at all (much less as much as it is) around here - as long as they see that what they're doing is bugging you, they're going to continue to do what they do. You don't care what the trolls think about you, so why worry about what they think about anybody else? Just ignore them. Please believe me - they're not worth the aggravation. EDIT: A part of the reason for my saying that I felt you were making a bigger deal out of this that it needs to be is that you keep bringing these kinds of things up. Yes, you might not have *intended* for anybody to think that you were uptight and making a big deal out of it, but that's the way it's coming across, whether you intended it that way or not. If these issues are not that big of a deal, then why talke about them at all?
