as long as the water was clean then you wont get any shorts with debri that may have got onto the boards.
DO NOT TURN IT ON
hopefully, as long as it didnt short out and blow the chip it is recoverable
take as much of it apart as you can, and leave it for at least 3 days to dry on its own, a high shelf in a dry room (no the airing cupboard)
then once you think its dried out put it in the airing cupboard for, say, one more day just to make sure the screen wont mist up in the wrong weather conditions.
put it back together and cross your fingers ... turn it on if it has problems at this point, sorry its a gonner
the only other issue you have is weither the sim card has soaked in the water and ruined it ... this will of course depend on the the amount of time it was submerged
if you dropped it in and grabbed it out you should be ok
but if you didnt see it and it was under water for an hour or so then it may be a problem
good luck.

I consider the items you are speakme about are a BlackBerry Torch, iPod, Nintendo Wii and an XBox. What telephone does your daughter have on the moment? If it can be flawlessly nice and he or she hasn't had it for a at the same time and her birthday isn't coming up then don't get her the cellphone. Good if she's getting a BlackBerry, they are able to play tune so if she will get a BlackBerry she does not fairly want an iPod unless she needs an iPod contact, which that you can play video games on and so forth. I feel you must get her a Nintendo Wii considering they're enjoyable for the whole family and you can use it for endeavor. Because she's a 14 year ancient lady and she or he possibly getting a Wii, i would not get her an XBox. Might be when she's older. I do not think you should get her a Firefly cell as those are made for extraordinarily small children, like 5 year olds and you are not able to textual content or them. She would now not be glad with a type of telephones. Hope I helped, Milana x

It MIGHT be ok. Take the phone to pieces... ie. remove the battery, sim card etc and leave it to dry out. I had a nokia phone dropped in a pint of larger and that after drying out for a couple of days did work again. I also had a samsung slide phone that went down the toilet. That didn't work again, but I think it was the slide mechanism that didn't allow the phone to dry properly!
Good luck telling your hubby!!!

Accept real possibilities the cellphone is ruined due to it's contact with water; water proof cellphones, well likely being drawn up in research and development--have yet to come out.
Hubby only has himself to be angry at for leaving his cellphone vulnerable for your child to dip it in the dog's water bowl. If this cellphone was personally purchased, it's hoped he was smart enough to purchase some INSURANCE on the device; I would if I had a small child.
However, if this cellphone was provided by his employer.....chances are it's insured....might prove uncomfy for him. He might can provide some believable reasonable explanation for why it got wet and request another one. The honest approach, explaining the baby gave it a bath in the doggie water dish isn't advised.
Either way: it's logically best he knows what's happened. You can try opening up the phone, removing it's battery and placing it in a naturally air-flowing area for 48 hours as hopes it will dry out. But it's likely it's ruined.

depends actually. but you may try taking the battery and the casing out then let it dry under the sun for a while but not too much heat/ too much of the sun, ok.. or blow dry it.. other phones worked, while others did not work anymore. it depends on how well did the water get in to the phone. if it was really drowned, then i'm sorry but it usually won't work anymore.. that's what technician at cellphone shops do.. otherwise, you need to have it fixed by a technician to ensure safety and accuracy on how to fix it..

let it turned off and take the battery stright out. If ylu can remove the cover do so. You have to let it to dry completey before attempting to turn it on or you can fry the internal workings.
It can take a while to dry out so you may have to tell him.
But there are no guarntees that it will work again.
