Hi. Good question.Science can't explain how the ball of matter got there in the first place so they come up with all these theories to try to justify what happened. That sort of gets them off the hook while searching for more information ,creating more theories to keep them happy. They will never admit to a creator because there is no proof that one exists and yet they can't prove how the ball of matter appeared in the first place. Rather ironic wouldn't you say?

If you want to know what is singularity then,
Thats the biggest mystery now. The point at Big Band is called "the singularity" . All the physics laws fail at/before singularity. New theory called "M theory" ( this is some what reformed theory of the string theory ) seems to solve this mystery. But still there are lot of things to be proved by "M theory" . according to M-theory there exist parallel universes each contained in a vibrating membrane. When vibrating membranes collide with each other at that point the big bang occurs. Well thats not proved yet, as of now its in beginning stage. May be proved in future

The big bang exploded from a singularity which we don't have a theoretical model for yet, so there's no way to know. We still need a theory of quantum gravity, which no one has been able to develop yet that works with both quantum physics and general relativity.

You've asked a question that a lot of people have already asked. It is quite the mystery. The big bang is the event that started it all, and it will be quite some time (if ever) before we know the answer.

The dust particle was already there. Obviously something was there in the first place so why not a dust particle?
