I'm a consultant working with a sole practitioner on a potential EMR solution. I would like to keep costs below $25,000 dollars but the doctor that I'm working feels the costs are too high. I would like to illustrate the value of such a system by showing her that the system's benefits far outweigh the costs of the new system. I have searched the Internet and have not been able to find a study which shows the costs. The doctor that I currently work with practices Internal Medicine.

Costs? I have no idea. But the loss of a doctor's patients record could be a total f$$$$$ disaster!
Loss of billing and ins records could cripple her business financially.
