i think it's because we read from left to right and we think this order is natural, so the guy who constructed the first clock made his hands move also left-to-right

I have seen a clock where the hands move in anti-clockwise direction. So I would say it is just because of convention.

Clocks replaced sundials.The direction of rotation was chosen to be the same as that of the shadow of a sundial in the northern hemisphere (where clocks were invented). This was simply to make it more familar.

They have been designed/programmed like this.

Even if time moved backwards (which is unlikely), the hands will still move forward.

It is by convention. If they move in the opposite direction, that movement will be anti-clockwise.

the flow of current is the reason...its the same way ...when u ride ur bicycle ,when u pedal forward it moves forward, but the same way if u pedal backward it wont move...cause the flow of energy is only allowed in the forward direction...not in the backward
