Why does someone constantly preach guidelines?

when if fact they are proven to be the biggest rule breaker out?

Maybe because they are more familiar with the rules, since they were pointed out to them so many times, when the broke them.

Because it makes them seem like their on top of things and keeps the attention off of them
A lot of these people probably grew up around strict rules
or they might just be punks
