I understand how people get frustrated with this but they need to keep it to themselves rather than making rasict comments when they contact other call centers... 'thank god your not indian' and things like that are not acceptable. Those people are just doing their job the best they can and are probably a ton smarter than those hicks that need to make rasict comments like that...

Sorry for going off, but i hear a lot of comments like this beacuse i work at a call center where one of our competitors outsources their call center...

Yes - I get very annoyed. I feel sorry for the worker, they were put into a no-win situation. I once had to "politely" just hang up because I could understand nothing they said. I called the next day at a totally different time and got it handled. The companies are not helping themselves doing this( except cutting costs ), they annoy their customers.

I feel your pain. I bought a Dell laptop (when I really wanted a Sony) because I was told that they had an excellent customer service dept. I spent 40 mins just being passed around from one person to the next. Each time I had to give my acct #, purchase order #, model #, etc. Actually the two girls that were hardest to understand were both from Texas. Usually I likes their accents. A gentleman from India was actually able to help me. He learned English in the UK. and it was a pleasure talking to him. When I had to call Discover card, they were so caring and helpful, I wanted to cry. I just couldn't believe my good fortune.

When I call those customer service centers I like to be waited on right away. And I definitely would like to speak to some one who speaks fluent english. When i call those customer service centers I'm calling them because I already have a problem with them. So I don't want the phone call to be another problem.

Extremely annoying!
but, I even get solicitation calls from people I can't understand!
But, I have to say the worse is...those voices that sound like recordings...sounding TOO perfect! Lots of times with credit card and customer service! They can actually scare me. I usually end up hanging up.

what's even annoying before that is that the computerized voice has taken you through a series of nonsense and finally when the call get's through, the customer service people can't help you, i mean you've been on the phone for a whole hour.

You are cool to not mention the name of the company (although I would be tempted) and yes I get very mad because I used to do that job and it is not for everyone to begin with! Good custommer's service is hard to find these days...! They act as if they were doing you a favor or something!

I get mad too! I have had a couple of experiences where so called customer service was terrible. The person was just there for the sake of having a customer services reception.
