Does anyone know a cool magic trick that I can perform in front of my class that's sort of related to Harry Houdini (FYI, I'm an amateur) THANKS!!

Houdini was more of an escapologist so handcuff escapes are cool........put 4 pairs of toy handcuffs on and put some real cuffs on way up your forearms, that way you can force open the fakes and slide the real ones off easily enough. You could add to it by being tied in a sack as well with the top chained up and then get people to put you in a wooden box. You cut your way out of the bag (dont let anyone check it later) and the box has fake nails at one end, the panels hinge outwards on the real nails, so you can get out.

If you truly want their attention, and your intent is to gain attention, you might try being shackled, and suspended upside down in a tank of water. I promise it will keep them spellbound.
