My second question is do you also think it is wrong for pregnant women to have abortions? I think both are wrong but abortion is much, much, worse.

Abortion is WAY more harmful to a fetus than smoking.

Smoking is harmful to both the mother and the child. I think it's crazy for pregnant women to continue to smoke. When I was pregnant, I was able to quit smoking by my second month. Luckily, my son suffered no ill effects.

As for the abortion issue. If abortion is used as a method of birth control, I feel it is completely wrong. By this, I mean women who choose to have unprotected sex and have repeat abortions to get rid of unwanted children. If you are using protection correctly and get pregnant, I don't have a problem preventing an unwanted child from coming into the world. While having an abortion is a traumatic experience in itself, it is far less traumatic than carrying a child to term that you don't want. I gave my own son up for adoption, but not everyone is strong enough for that. I'm surprised I was.

I agree 100% with all point. A pregnant woman smoking is wrong trashy and disgusting. It is harmful to a fetus however and abortion has a 100% fatality rate.

It's wrong for ANYONE to smoke!

Yes it's wrong for women to have abortions. Premarital sex is wrong first of all. The women who get abortions 9 times out of 10 aren't married and unstable.

When you're ready to have a baby, you should be married, and planning on this. Not just having sex with your boyfriend....

Most women (AND MEN) disgust me today....to no end...

Smoking is definitely not right for a pregnant women. It can be very very harmful for the unborn baby. I personally don't agree with abortions, but I feel there are certain situations which warrant one. It call comes down to personal opinion but it's not for me.

Both are harmful, sweetie. A woman MUST NEVER!!!! smoke during her pregnancy, an abortion either, is not the baby's fault is the mother's fault to not think before act. Smoking during pregnancy is practically an abortion.

Is a man's duty to keep her wife safe.

Smoking is definitely wrong...i feel if you cant sacrifice a cigarette while pregnant, how are you going to make the sacrifice needed to raise a child. Selfishness does not work. And the abortion issue is a tough one. When you throw in rape, it changes everything.

of course an abortion is much much worse, it's like comparing an injury to a murder! if she knows how hurtful her smoking is to her baby's health then i'm sure she wouldn't do it, and of course she shouldn't. i agree that pregnant women shouldn't have abortions, they can always give their baby to a childless couple, one of my best friends was adopted and well, i'm so glad she wasn't aborted, i can't imagine myself still being sane and alive without her sometimes. hope this helps!

I have trouble understanding in what way its a women's choice to murder her baby. This comment relates to those that abort purely because of timing, form of contraception or convenience. I understand this is not a black and white issue, there is so much grey area to be addressed, but I still don't understand.

Coming from a smoker...I quit the moment I found out I was pregnant with both my sons. I do not believe that there is any safe amount or drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes for a baby.
