i just threw a baby shower for my sister in law, the best game to play was to buy 5 different baby foods take the labels off and number the bottom of the tins so you know what they are, get everyone to have a piece of paper and write down what the think they are tasting its lots of fun and the looks on peoples faces are priceless. i also got a baby bottle filled it up with jelly beans and had a guessing game,or get 2 dolls and some dolls clothes get the guest to dress the dolls in the quickest time possible.make sure you have prizes to give out it keeps people interested

The New Parents Game
Before the shower, ask the mom- and dad-to-be questions such as, "When is your birthday?" "Where were you born?" Divide the guests into tow teams, the "pink" team and the "blue" team. Pink team answers questions about the mm, blue answers questions about the dad. Correct answer earns 1 point. The team with the most points wins.
------------------------------...
Word Play
The mom-to-be will soon have old parenting adages like "Because I said so!" rolling off her tongue. Come up with a list of other sayings and make them into acronyms (for example MDGOT! {Money Doesn't Grow On Trees!}). Quickest answerer gets a point, most point wins (or alternate scoring, everyone writes down guesses and most right at the end wins).
------------------------------...
What's in the Bag?
Place several baby-related items (for example, bottle, rattle, pacifier) into separate brown paper bags. Staple the bags closed and number them. Players may shake, but not squeeze, the bags to determine what's inside. The player who gets the most right wins.

you can ask everyone who comes to bring a picture of them self as a baby and write there name on the back. lay them on a table so when people are just talking and mingling they can stop by the table and try to guess whose baby picture is whose

you can play the clothes pin game, everyone gets a close pin to put on their shirt and if they say the word baby whoever catches them saying that word takes the clothes pin and puts it on there shirt. whoever has the most clothes pins on their shirt at the end of the shower wins.

have people guess how many squares of toilet paper it would take to wrap around the mommy's tummy. then wrap the toilet paper around the belly and count the squares. whoever is closest wins

At mine, they froze little plastic toy babies in ice cube trays with water to make ice cubes. Each guest was given a cup with the ice cube and the first one to "melt" the baby out won. It was a fun game to watch!

this one is kinda cute, but may be considered gross- depending on your guests-

what's the poop?
you melt or crush 5 different candy bars into 5 different diapers

your guests try to guess what's what- closest to get them all right wins- not as easy as it sounds
especially with
snickers vs. oh henry or goldbergs peanut chews

guess the white powder ...

fill baggies or containers with different types of powders found around the house..baby powder, flour, salt, sugar, corn starch, baking soda..etc. then number them and see hiw many ppl can get! it is pretty hard! the older guests really seemed to enjoy this one
