distrubute the 3 and 2
3x + 21 = 2x + 18

subtract 2x for both sides
x + 21 = 18

subtract 21 for both sides
x = -3

I assume that we have to solve the given equation
3(x + 3) = 2(x + 9)
=>3x + 9 = 2x + 18
=>3x - 2x = 18 - 9
=> x = 9
