I had them both. PS2 has a bigger selection of games while xbox has better graphics. If you play a games (Madden 06 for example) on both systems you can see the diffrence preety well.
So ps2 has more and better games, but the xbox itself is the better system.

Technically wise the XBox is more powerful and creates better graphics with faster gameplay. But the PS2 has more games and a better variety of games.

PS2 if you like platforming games.
Xbox for shooters.
Otherwise its about the same.

personnaly i had a choice between the two. i chose ps2. just easier controls, not as confusing

this site will give you an xbox 360 just for completing some quick online tasks! really recommend it, especially if you're broke but really want an xbox (like me).
