You have to check your state. Some states have a waiting period after the final decree. Most do not any more. The list below may not be current as this stuff changes every few years.
Texas has a 30 day waiting period, but if you get married in that time, it is still a legal marriage (can't figure this one out). I don't know how it's handled in places like Nebraska with a 6 month waiting period.

I might depend on where you live. I suggest you ask someone in whatever office issues marriage licences in your home state or province of whatever country outside Canada where you intend to get married. In Canada, you are free to remarry as soon as the ink is dry on the decree absolute (final divorce papers). Whether it is a good idea to do so is another story. Many people whose opinion I respect argue against remarrying too soon.

In some states, it is 6 months. When I got married the second time, I had to wait six months..... why, I don't know.

as soon as the first marriage is legally terminated there is no waiting period before remarriage. At least thats true here in Massachusetts
