Yes, the golden rule pretty much rules, regardless of whether you follow it for religious or purely practical reasons.

Do what you know to be the right thing no matter what. Sometimes you come across some difficult situations in life. When we have set a moral compass for ourselves we can dig deep inside us and know what the right thing is to do, and accept the repercussions for our behavior (We don't get to be judgy about others though).

the golden rule . do unto others as you would have them do unto you. if we all lived by this simple rule we would never need the over 100,000 ,000 laws we have on our law books today.I am not even a christian, but, I do believe that.

My one rule is to TRY not to do anything that I wouldn't do if my mom were watching.
