I have been trying to excerise the whole pregnancy, but am really trying to step it up now for mood and to get in the unltimate shape for labour. BUT the walking gave me cramps and I seem skinner. Is that the baby dropping. And should I worry about the cramps.. is that supposed to happen when walking (I was not walking fast or anything).

Yes, the reason you look skinnier may be due to the baby settling into your pelvis more and he/she may also have shifted/changed position.

Walking is good exercise and fine, just don't wear yourself out. While it is important to be in good shape when you begin labor it is also equally important to not be worn out. Labor is hard work. Drink plenty of fluids so you don't get dehydrated and eat well to give your body the fuel it needs. Getting dehydrated can cause cramping.

Good luck,

cramps are normal, but annoying. Try drinking more water (as hard as it is, what with peeing all the time, lol) if you feel slimmer, the baby may have dropped and engaged in the pelvis, which is one step closer to delivery! Keep up the good work, the better shape you are the better you will do in labor.

no u should have dropped last month. babies drop about 3-4 weeks before due date. keep an eye on cramps, time and location. lower back is usually early labor. and blood or spotting go to hosp asap

He's probably shrinking away because you want to name him after money...

Seriously, I'm surprised at the thumbs down- you know that she wants to name her child Koen, pronounced COIN, right? There's a point at which supporting a person enables behaviors that aren't right...
