Being an avid drinker at times, I have tried everything to kill the infamous hangover. Through many self tests and school studies (gotta love college), Here are some general rules to help avoid a hangover:

1) If you are a beer drinker, take an antacid right before you go to sleep. This helps slow the breakdown of the beer while it is in your system. A hangover is basically your body's reminder that you are dehydrated. When beer sets in your stomach and as it travels through your system (while you sleep), your body uses its spare water reserves to help aid in this process, resulting in dehydration. On top of this, the excess urea/water mix that you passed while you were awake didn't help much!

2) Drink as many fluids as you can before you go to sleep. This will help replace the water lost throughout the night.

3) For all alcohol lovers..... Forget the 'eat a piece of bread' myth. When bread is consumed the night before, your alcohol breaks down the sugars in the bread, causing you to have gas. If you ever have had the beer poops before...this is where it comes from. Try to stay away from anything with sugar!! This is a whole bad experience that you do not need to go to work with:) Especially if you aren't allowed or too busy at work to go to the restroom as often as you would like. Plus....it can be unpleasant for your coworkers. If all else fails.......do the fart and walk away method to try to cover up the smell. (yeah, right....like you have never done that one before!)

4) My pesonal favorite..... Just stay up!!! Go and buy a bunch of red bull, two packs of stackers, the pain killer of your choice, and a gatorade. You might want to invest in a good pair of shades too. Trust me.... if you sober up without sleep, the sun is going to seem 20 times as bright as it normally is!! The stacker and red bull will keep you up and focused while you pull your 9-5, and the gatorade will cure the need for the constant thurstiness you are going to experience. The one good thing is you will probably feel best if you go this route! You probably won't do much that night though!! Prepare yourself for the deepest sleep you have ever experinced!!

I hope this guide line will help you!! Just remember......sleep is a necessity to stay alive and kickin'. Also....NEVER drive drunk!! You might not make it to party another night before work!!

I have a very simple way, coming home I buy a large Chinese chicken curry and eat half when I get home and the following morning I have the other half cold with hot toast and if it stays down for more than 5 minutes then you'll be fine. Then you take a couple of painkillers for the headache and keep a bottle of Irn Bru ( Scottish Soft Drink).

Drink a large glass of water and eat a small sandwich. Turn on a fan right by your face to keep your head cool. Set your alarm for 1 hour before you have to get up. When that goes off pee and drink 2 large glasses of water and go back to bed for another hour. Then eat another sandwich for breakfast. If you smoke the herb, take a one or two small puffs on the way to work.

Drink LOTS of water before bed after you drink alcohol. And drink lots of water in the morning before and during work....It keeps you from being dehydrated and makes the hangover not so bad. I used to manage a convienence store every other weekend and I would be to work by 5 am every time.

well,as a former drinker ,I know exactly how you feel.Drink black cofee in the morning as all the booze turns into sugar and thats what helps to make you feel unwell. For breakfast even if you dont think it would "harmfull",crack about 8 eggs in a tall glass ,mix with a little milk stir and down the hatch. The eggs will settle your guts and give energy to the body.Take a shower hot as it will wake you up.Now for the breath problem,Dont use mouthwash since it contain alcohol.Use and carry your favourite toothpaste, its the only thing that works.Better yet, quit drinking as much,Ive been sober for 23 years.

Take 2 Advil with a large glass of water. Drink as much water as possible because most of the horrible feeling from a hangover is from dehydration.
