monera are so important because they do thing that other organisms might not be able to do like digest and turn poisonous inorganic material in to something way less harmful. Also becuase their DNA is so easly manipulated we can use Gene splicing to replicate hormones or section of DNA. And they help to make things that some organisms cant like with e-coli in our intsestine which produce vitamin k. Bacteria also have a role in dating which cayno bacteria in yellow stone park are fossilized right before your eyes which will help scintists in the future find things out.

1. act as decomposers to recycle nutrients
2. photosynthesize, making food and oxygen
3. fix nitrogen, taking nitrogen gas from the air
4. cause diseases and infections
5. used to make antibiotics
6. used in genetic engineering to make chemicals
7. studied as lab subjects
8. used in products such as yogurt, cheese, pickles, ...
9. used in sewage treatment processes
10. part of many food chains, including those occurring in inhospitable places like undersea volcanic vents
11. live in digestive systems of various species and help with digestion and producing vitamins
