you are fine, some women will have periods while the nurse, others will not get a period until they wean. I got my period at 7 months, but bf'd for another year + without trouble. Generally, when the baby starts eating more solids, the demand for milk production goes down, and you will start your period again.

no, you should still get your milk. I nursed until she was 13 months. And I still had milk when she was 5 years old!!! I had my period the whole time I was nursing and afterwards

Your milk will be fine. Just make sure you are eating healty and drinking plenty of water.
Also, if you are thinking breastfeeding is a birth control method...it's not and now that you started your period...watch out!

No it won't stop coming in. not sure how to get more milk...you can talk to a person in your community that helps with that sort of thing. Your local hospital should beable to help you with that.

You can certainly keep on nursing!! :)
To boost milk supply... nurse frequently, drink lots of water, eat oatmeal, drink "Nursing Mother's Tea"... :)
