Is Thermal Paste and Thermal Grease the same thing?

If they are different which one is better?

Can you please recommend some specific brand of thermal compund or whatever its called?

They are the same. The other type is thermal pad (not semi-solid).
Aside from AS5, another good brand popular w/ enthusiasts is Zalman STG-1.
But do take note that it is the heatsink that cools the processor and not that thermal grease. It just insures optimum heat transfer from the processor heatspreader to the base of the heatsink.

Same thing, and yes the Artic Silver 5 has been proven that it makes a difference over other brands. I cant remember the exact source i read that in, but if I do, I will let you know.

Yes it is for sale check on ebay amazon and Google shopping, and newegg if you are in the states. Artic silver is reccommended by lots of people, so is pretty good..... Be sure to use a microfibre cloth and rubbing alcohol to remove the old paste first
