It's only tacky if the pieces of jewelry you wish to wear are tacky.

If it was tacky you wouldn't see such famous jewelry and watch designers creating two-tone pieces. Take Rolex for an example, they create beautiful wrist watches featuring stainless steel and yellow gold.

David Yurman, Tiffany, Cartier.. It's done all the time.

It's simply ones personal taste. Some prefer to wear all one tone and others prefer to wear both.

Wear what makes you feel comfortable, beautiful and confident.

do it all the time. but it all depends on the outfit I am wearing. And when done right it can look very nice. I have a lot of jewelry that is actually mixed metals like copper, gold and silver all on one piece. So it can be done.

No, they can be worn together, i do it all the time and it doesn't look tacky at all, you just need to know how to wear them right, dont layer the 2 together too much.

If they look nice and not cheap. Just look at magazines- gold and silver bangles work or silver and gold dangle earrings work. Even a silver bag and gold shoes could work, it just takes the right combo.

Who am I to say what is tacky? I personally prefer to wear only white gold or silver-colored jewelery, but it is personal preference only.

I don't like it at all. I wouldnt.
Maybe you can find some pieces that look nice together, they should be delicate, so any of the pieces are so showy then they can be togheter.
Or like some other answer say, some jewerly that is made explicit combining both.
But i'd be carefull combining them.
