He hurt real badly but yet she keeps going back with him of 10year to many.If that was me I stop it in a heart beat.

It could be that he has told her so many times that she is ugly, worthless and no one would want her that she has come to believe that.

Maybe she is terrified that if she does escape form him, he will find and do more than just hurt her-like kill her. Either that or she loves him so much she can't stay away from him or, as with many women in that situation, they feel they have such a low self-image they feel they deserve that kind of t reatment and that is so sad. Until she begins to value herself, then, she will not change no matter how much anyone tries to help her. I feel sad for you knowing you hurt for her.

ahhhh...you are talking about the syndrome of the victim..they are not idiots, they simply do not feel self empowered...many women like this are really broken down and do not feel that escape is possible...many fear for their lives...many have lived their whole live being broken down and primed for this type of relationship...i was one many years ago and same with a couple of my friends...when we discuss how we snapped out of it, none of us can pin point how, but fortunately, we all seem to be pretty healthy people now...no more abusive relationships

there are many reasons
if it were me I'd catch him in the shower & drop a blow dryer in on him & say oops. I would also have an insurance policy on him because accidents do happen :)

she doesn't know what else to do, many woman are afraid they'll be found and killed, so they jusy go back and stay. These women need a good support system and some good therapy.
