Deny, Deflect, and Denounce. It's their mantra for dealing with shrewd, critical thinkers such as yourself.

1) Deny -- simply say it's not true. They'll come to believe it isn't true, because they said so.

2) Deflect -- rather than address the question on the merits, they'll immediately resort to pointing out other possible failings or events, so as not to have to be directly accountable for the question at hand. Lots of Clinton and Carter bashing, especially.

3) Denounce -- insults are a Conservative's favorite weapon. It puts people on the defensive, caters to the lowest common denominator among their supporters, and can be heaped upon in an instant without having to resort to facts, reason, or reality.

As opposed to false facts. How about this little gem from the left. The higher the education the more "liberal", meaning social liberal, the person, implying the smarter you are, the more liberal you are. BS. In this report, there is only 2% difference in favor of Dem's vs Rep's for voters with post-grad education. But the important part is the number of people with less than a high school diploma that vote Dem. Of course, some of the people may still be in high school, but most would be high school dropouts. And of that demographic of people with education below high school diploma, they favor Dem vs Rep 36% to 20%. Admittedly, this report is 4yrs old, but I doubt much has changed.

The funny thing is someone implied once, most rich people vote dem, I cited this same report, that clearly shows the higher the income, the more likely you are to vote rep. Of course, I got mulitple thumbs down for that.

Or citing the employment rates or per capita GDP for the EU vs USA. Got thumbs down for that too
