I suggest getting some Extra Emollient Night Cream from Mary Kay put it on thick before be and put some socks (ones that you don't care get the cream on them). Use the same pair of socks every night. This will help to moisturize you will need to scrub them once in a while to get all the dead skin off. As for your elbows all I can say is to use the same product just not as much before bed and at lunch time if you can.

Hi jhavi s,

Your Mom is so right about this one. Lemon & sugar=lemon will help bleach the skin & the sugar works as a scrub, you can use bleach to whiten your elbow & ankles but is harsh on your skin.
Get some Gardener's Hand Repair by Earth Therapeutics-this has shea butter, oatmeal, alpha-hydroxy complex- a moisturizers, repairs & protects damaged skin. You can get at most department stores, this will soften & protect elbows, ankles & hands. Get a punice stone & put lotion it & lightly scrub your ankles & elbows when done doing this apply Hand Repair overnight & wear white cotton socks to bed, in a few weeks you'll notice a big difference. If you can't find Hand Repair where you are at I left the email address is below. I have used this for years on my elbows, feet keeps them soft. And get a Sunblock SPF 30 protects UVA & UVB for your elbows.Good luck. :0)

Swolling ankles are a form of edema. An abnormal excess accumulation of serious fluid in connective tissue or in a serous cavities. I'm overweight and get swelling in my ankles and feet at times. Also eating to much salt can give you swollen ankles.

My wife puts Avon Skin-So-Soft bath oil on her elbows and heels, and it is amazing the difference. That stuff will even take bugs off the front of my car, clean grease off of the stove, and all kinds of things.

My mother used an oil that came in a brown bottle that she got at the drug store. My memory is not real good, but I think it was castor oil or camphor oil.

Your mum is right -- use it in the shower and wash if off good. also, put LOTS of lotion on and wrap with clean white cotton at bed time,. By the time you wake up, the area will be much softer. Then, use SUNBLOCK not SUNSCREEN on the area to prevent it from getting darker still while you are outside. good luck

Get you some Corn Huskers Lotion...available at any drugstore...Wal-Mart. It is awesome and inexpensive. There is also a product called Udder Cream in a wite tube with like black cow spots on it. The corn huskers lotion is the best if you can get it. Good luck and God bless.

put some petroleum jelly on them before bed...if you are worried about the jelly getting on a lot of stuff, you could wear cotton socks over your ankles, and a long sleeved shirt for the elbows. Lather it on!
