about openning a saved website on windows xp home edition?

I save websites because I like the website so much. I goto file then send then shortcut to desktop is how I save the website in windows xp home edition. But when I open them one by one two different saved websited open in the same window and I have to press control n to split them up I seen a way that you can open them separately as you press them one by one and they open in their own windows do you know how to make this happen?

It depends on which version of Internet Explorer you are using.
To save websites in IE6, you should add them to your favourites by right clicking once the page is open and selecting "Add to Favourites", in IE7& once the website is open, click on the +* at the top of the browser and then select add to favourites. Doing what you are doing is a messy and not the correct way of saving sites.
Try right clicking and selecting 'Open in a new Window'. That way all the open websites will be arranged along your toolbar and one click will bring them to the top.

saving a shortcut to the desktop is not saving the website to your computer. it's just saving a shortcut. you can accomplish the same thing by just bookmarking or adding to favorites in your browser.
