It is not called aces. It means the person serving has 30 and the person receiving has 40. Score is kept in tennis like this. The person serving hits a winner, it is scored 15. The other person has 0 which is called love. So it is 15-love. The person receiving hits a winner so it is 15-15. The person receiving hits it out. The person serving is ahead 30-15. The person receiving wins the next two points making it 30-40. If the person receiving wins the next point, they win the game and will be ahead 1-0. If the person serving wins the point, it will be 40-40 or what is called deuce. Whoever wins the next point will have the advantage. If that person loses the next point, they will go back to deuce. If that person wins the next point, they will win the first game. As you know, you have to win at least 6 games by 2 to win a set.

It is just 30-40! You could say, 'game point' for the 40 team, too! (level at 40-40, is deuce! And, one point thereafter is 'advantage'!)

30-40 would be a break point for the non-serving player, meaning he needs one more point to take the game and break through the other player's serve.
