It started with the Founding of the Constitution and has never ended.
One of the reasons for the Revolution, was on the American continent the Colonials had tried to end slavery outright, but the British Powers that was would always stifle this. Many Founding fathers found this wrong, even the ones that had owned slaves.
The Modern Civil Rights movements has roots in the the Revolution.

It hasn't ended yet. There is still a lot of hate and racism in the world. It will never end until all people are truly equal and free.
