What kind of paint?
How much paint?
What are the wheels made of? Steel, aluminum, magnesium, etc?
Are they painted, chromed, clearcoated, polished?

you don't say what the rims are made of chrome,painted,stainless steel,polish aluminum,or something else you don't want to get the wrong advice and ruin your wheels

if it were me id use a liquid paint stripper on it,it works really well,if your wanting to strip them down to re-paint them,and its the fastest way to do this also,wal-mart sells the stripper in quarts or gallons,and it works really good,i bought 3 gallons of it today to strip a truck with,good luck with it,hope this helps.

diet cola will remove the paint off almost anything brake fluid will too
