We have a dog and a rabbit at our house, and they do get along, sort of. I can let them play together with someone watching, but I won't let them together unattended. It's in a dog's and cat's nature to chase rabbits, and that's a hard thing to train them not to do. And when a rabbit runs, sometimes the cat or dog won't stop and think about what they're supposed to do.

It really depends on the temperament of the cats and the rabbit. I have 3 cats that rang in age from 1 year to 11 years in age and they do fine with the rabbit. You need to introduce them slowly to see what the reaction is going to be and take it from there. My cats are allowed into the rabbit pen and the rabbit runs around the living room with the cats. For the most part they do fine, if the rabbit gets annoyed she begins to thump her back leg. If you keep them separated and a cat does get in your room one day it could be more terrifying for the rabbit then it needs to be. Here are a couple of websites for more info.

My cat and rabbit are best friends! Do not keep them separated and prevent what could be a wonderful companionship. I introduced my rabbit to my cat by putting her in a small area with a gate. They smelled each other, became very interested in each other, and finally, when they were introduced face to face, I of course was there to watch. My bunny at the time was the size of a guinea pig and my cat was full grown. Once they have smelled each other for a bit, let them just run around together. They will eventually grow fond of each other. Now my cat always jumps the gate to spend the day with his best friend.

well it depends on how the cats act towards the rabbits. some cats do wonderful with rabbits, but some dont. If they don't I would suggest keeping the rabbits in one room where they can be safe and keep the cats out of there.. best of luck

It depends.. I had a dog, three cats, a rabbit, a rat, a guinea pig, AND a hamster.. and never had a problem! they were all allowed to roam freely while we were home (the rabbit, rat, hamster and Guinea Pig had to be caged because they liked to chew wires when they got bored but were fine with interaction)

Honestly, our rabbit went after the cats a few times.. (after the cats tried "stalking" it) rather funny sight.

the cat will learn how dangerous the rabbit can be -especially if the rabbit is full grown. give the rabbit alot of areas to hide -like cardboard boxes and small houses from the pet store.
