I live here too (Royal Oak) and I love most of it, it is a beautiful state, but Detroit sucks ( and I work there). Plus our economy is terrible right now.

I ended up here after living in South Carolina, Connecticut, and Ohio.. and I prefer it here.. although I want to escape the Winter.. (I don't like driving on ice)..

Overall it's fairly decent.. although as a lesbian, I have certain issues with some of the laws on the books.. including some archaic ones and at least one NEW one.. grr.. but, the beaches are great, the woods are amazing, and the old cemetaries are abundant..

I live by Ludington. It is one of the top five tourist attractions in Michigan. I think most people think of Detroit when they hear of Michigan. It's a state where people should gander, lol. Okay, it was bad.

Michigan is a great state. It's a winter wonderland. It also has lots of summer fun. I should know. I live here.

i live in ann arbor now, but was born and raised in detroit or the close east burbs. i love it. the city has a bad rep, a lot of abandoned buildings, but it's great. great music, great people, great museums. it won't ever be a chicago or new york, but i love it anyway.

The UAW has too much power there. Ann Arbor is pretty left wing. I have spent very little time there, so I really have no strong good or bad opinion.

I hear the roads are bad and the crime is worse, but I've never been there. Someone I know is from there.
