is the idea not to use toilet paper or what i dont get it . please explain what the item is really intended to do .

It is meant to be used to refresh your area after going #2 - you still use toilet paper after #2, but you then follow it up by rinsing it off to keep that area fresh & clean - you don't have to have a bad #2 to use it - it's a luxury item, so to speak, to have in your bathroom for optimal cleaning purposes....

Yes, it is for keeping your bum clean; but it is also used before/after sexual intercourse.
