Is there anything he can legally do once we are there to keep me and my daughter from leaving the state again? Is there anything he could do to pull any tricks on me?

If his name is not on the birth certificate--he is the ALLEGED father and has NO legal rights to your child whatsoever. I would have to also point out, he has no legal obligation to support that child either. In addition, if he had ANY assets and were killed tomorrow--your child would not inheirit anything.

Unless he is dangerous, you may want to consider having paternity legally established. (Even if he is.....you can establish paternity with restrictions on any visitiations should he choose to exercise that right.) Your child does deserve to have TWO parents--even if it's only for biological infomation.

The father cannot do anything legal vis-a-vis your child because he has technically no relation with the child since he was not even indicated on the birth certificate.

currently no as in the eyes of the law there is no link between him and your kid.

However he could demand a DNA test to prove that the kid is his (which she is) and you could be in for a long custody battle. that is if he wants to.

I reccomend you follow clk4cb's advise and get him leagally installed as the father (unless he is a creep) and sort out stuff like visitation rights
