I lived through it 40 years ago with "Hanoi Jane" and now "Baghdad Rosie" is spewing the kind of ignorant hatred and calling our troops terrorists and murderers. Do you want the war to go on so you can feel good about being an idiot? The war is a complete waste of tax money and our soldiers lives. The longer the war goes on the more of our own will die. We want the troops home so no more of them will die in vain. it is obvious that you are neither a tax payer nor have anyone in your family who serves in the military. You are not a conservative, because a conservative would think twice and hard about foreign occupation and military entanglement that we can't get out of easily.

GOP Princess: Do you know how many of our soldiers died in Vietnam? More than 58,000! Have you ever visited the Vietnam Memorial in D.C. Our soldiers died in Vietnam for what? To keep the communists at bay? Alot of good that did. Last time I checked, the Vietcon won the war anyway. If we pulled out ealier, say back in 1964 instead of 1974, we wouldn't have had so many casualties. In the end, the Vietnamese figured out for themselves that communism doesn't work so if we had let them become communist 10 years sooner, they would have figured it out sooner too. Think, think, think, for yourself, instead of being blinded by mindless nationalism or patriotism or some other empty ideology. No one, no true American patriot would want our soldiers to die in vain. Liberals and conservatives alike, should rally together to end this war so that no more will die. We can turn our energy into building our own country, rather than destroying inconsequential countries like Iraq.

There are some that deserve some spitting (e.g. those who abused prisoners at Abu Ghraib). I'm sure as time goes on others will be shown to have been unworthy of representing the United States as well. Of course much of that goes back to the White House's attitude that we're somehow above the law because a handful of nutjobs flew some planes into the WTC. Not that Bush and company really need much of an excuse to to take the moral low road. They were doing that long before 9/11.

But if you really want to see those who served honorably be treated like crap keep watching how the Bushies treat those who come back with physical and mental problems. After all wounded soldiers are not big contributors to political campaigns, so there's no percentage in helping them.

When my brother-in-law and his men came home from Iraq, they landed in Texas, they were greeted of course by their families and by a group of people who were opposed to the war. These anti-war people had laid out coffee and cookies and other snacks for the soldiers, they handed each of them an American Flag and gave them big hugs and firm handshakes thanking them for all they had done.

Strangely enough there was not one "supporter" of the war in sight.Maybe that is because 82% of the American people are opposed to the war. And they are the 82% who are really supporting our troops

So unless you get your sorry a** out of your mother's basement and out to an airport at 3AM to greet our troops coming home with the same love and compassion as the anti-war people did shut up
