RAR is an archive file format like ZIP. So will have to get a extractor app like WinRar and put the extracted files on your PSP. You can try here for more help - http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums

A .RAR is a compressed file. You need to uncompress it on your PC with a program like WinRar (which is free). And you would copy the files from inside the RAR to your PSP

.rar is a compressed file for computers like .zip but more advance. However .cso is a compressed file for psp like the.iso but takes less space to play.
You can't play .rar for the psp because the psp reads image file called .iso and .cso so .rar is not a image file thats why version 3.4oe-a and devhook loaders cannot support it.

P.S if you have a psp game in .rar format i recommend you extract it using WinRar then if it goes to a game file then turn it into a .cso but if it turns into a .iso just convert back to .cso and if it turns out to be .cso use ya commen sense!

hoped that helped
