He is a man who truly believes in a person's right to choose when they have so little time left, and that time is spent suffering. I live in Oregon, and about twelve years ago a Euthanasia Bill was passed giving terminal patients the right to die.
It was held up in Federal Courts for a long time by all the bleeding hearts who feel people shouldn't be allowed to make that choice for themselves. The first year that people were actually able to use that right (I think it was two years ago) over two hundred people were eligible to get the mix of pills that would allow them to die with dignity. Only a dozen used that right. One of the family members was quoted as saying that it turned out to be a lovely way to say goodbye.
If he goes "back to work" more power to him. You have to give the guy credit for standing up for what he believes, even to the point of sacrificing his own freedom!
Have a great weekend! Annie

Nah, apparently he said he would continue campaigning for an individuals right to die but would not be assisting anyone. He's like almost 80, so he's kinda living on borrowed time himself.

Whether he is being public about it or not, what he advocates is going on....
there are a lot of cases of "pain control" with morphine etc. that speeds up the terminal patient's demise....

He will be released on parole next week. He has said that he will no longer help individuals commit suicide but he will lobby for legislation that supports it.
