okay, vampires can't walk in the sunshine, so they only come at night...to feed on the living (humans). Is there any other kinds of beings that are greater than a vampire, say, such as a werewolf, or an elf, or whatever (i don't know, that is why i am asking you). so what is if there is any thing stronger than a vampire?

Vampires are not immortal, they need to feed and they can be killed by many methods.
Angels are immortal. God or Gods (since we are talking about mythology) are immortal.

The kind of vampires you describe exist only in bad holliwood movies and TV shows, and fiction. There are the Gothic people, all dressed in black, with filed teeth, but they are no more immortal than you are. Just fantasizing a bizarre lifestyle. And some people on here think Christians are weirdo nuts!
Werewolves are in about the same category as vampires. Mostly fictional. There is a type of insanity called Lycanthropy, in which a person thinks he is an animal of some sort. Nebuchadnezzar in the Bible once was afflicted with it.
Real vampires are not afraid of sunlight, or crosses or garlic or mirrors. They are fairly ordinary humans who can steal your energy, not drink your blood, and they are NOT immortal either. Also, there are some spirits who do much the same thing. They are a bit closer to the mythical type, but they are dead, not "undead".

A vampire, no matter what type, lives by draining others of energy/lifeforce/blood. This is an act close of selfishness which actually puts them at the lower end of the immortal spectrum. An ascended master on the other hand, who acheives enlightenment, immortality and evolves to the next spiritual level, then returns to guide us mere mortals... now that's a powerful being.

I agree with harridan5. i am writing a vampire book, and if you do a web search on it you find a lot of sites refering to psychic vampires, and other mortals drinking human blood. they go through a donor process, and etc.
i do not belive that bc they drink blood that they are on the low end of the totem pole like the other describes. far from it.
As much as i wish edward from Twilight was real, he isn't. Or Louis from Interview with vampire.
i believe and know real vampires exist. there are too many myths and legends to prove it. I see it as a story told from a first hand witness to one person, to another, and another. A really long and elaborate game of telephone, like when we were little.
We'd be too conceeded to believe that we know all the secrets of the earth, and mankind. Even history books are baised...off the point.

To be frank, werewolves and elves are NOT immortal, they just live a long time. The thing that is stronger than a vampire is a successful vampire hunter.

as far as mythological creatures are concerned, in my opinion, no. Vampires rock. they can take out zombies, werewolves and all other contestants, but then I have a little obsession, so i am biased. ;))
