Why do you equate a wealthy athlete with the elite? One of us needs a dictionary--and I don't think it's me.

I can't believe how brainwashed people are, the league has turned on Vick(a la Kordell Stewart) and is launching it's smear campaign! The quarterback has to be an intelligent, tall, handsome, apple pie white man, they thought they had the M.J. of football and nobody is M.J.! Now they want everyone to hate him, they sabotage his game and his personal life and subtly tell you what a '*****' he is! They do it with McNabb too and McNabb takes heat from blacks even by not following the '*****' script! America has always been a toilet bowl, it was created to be, and the thing getting flushed is the blood of all it's victims!

actually it shows that a good part of success in america is how you are born and who you know.

he isnt cultured or educated as much as it is his ability to run a 4.28 40yd dash and that people are willing to pay him millions to do it.

Vick is Vick. and hey, people gamble in kids thai boxing in thailand so its not a country.

It is the person. He fights dogs, its not necessary the most cultured of things, but america has bigger things to worry about. things the world sees about america that make them feel about us the way some people feel about vick.

at least vick isnt on a stump preaching for peta.

You've got allot of learning to do if you think $$$ = automatically cultured. But hey, as far as Vick goes, He's human! People make mistakes regardless of what type of social stature they have, and you never hear about it because they aren't in the limelight with cameras and mics shoved up their nose every 2 seconds, with media mongers waiting to get as much dirt as they can, all for a story.... The media sickens me.
