My sister in law tried it and got pregnant with a boy. (which they wanted) When she tried for a girl the 2nd time, it was another boy. She just left it up to chance this time and had a girl. The problem was that they had intercourse right on the cusp of girl/boy right before ovulation. She went so far to attend a workshop for this. Even the workshop teacher said it's still 50/50. Good luck though!!

I am proof...I have three wonderful boys...but really wanted a girl. My husband and I researched and bought the book, we read a chapter a night out loud to each other. It was dry, but interesting, and if you are going to use it, please read the whole book, don't just hit the highlights, which is what a lot of people do. It is worth it trust me. Anyway long story short, I am in early stages of labor with twin girls. Don't' worry the shettles method won't give you twins, lol. And you know that the male chooses the sex right, well my husband has 4 biological brothers, no biological sisters, his father has 3 brothers and his father was one of 2 boys. So as you see, women do not run in his family. But we have two coming. Good luck to you

Give it a shot. Apparently it had a higher success rate than completely random.
