Why did they do it? What was their motivation?

Should Pelosi encourage the blacks of Africa to apologize for their role in slavery ... just like the governor of AL did today?

It was obviously the White Man's fault, no question about it. The White Man forced them to do it, no question about it. Only the White Man should apologize for slavery, no question about it. There's really no question it was the White Man's fault. No question about it.

It's happened all through history, one group is paid to capture or kill another group, by a third group who seeks to conquer or control the first group. It happened rampantly with the American Indians, tribe eagerly likedthe idea of being on the side of the Whites to attack old enemies, go to the Custer battle Filed Memorial, and see what the local tribes have done to memorialize there loyalty to US troops against he other tribes, the same in Africa, Just because they where Black, does not mean they where the same tribe, just a whites in Europe are English,French, german etc, so it is in Africa and Years ago in the Americas. It;s happened in ancient rome, in Egypt, in Asia, anywhere. It's one of the oldest tactics in the world, works pretty good I guess. Just because some politician "apologizes" for something, doesn't mean he represents the other today, and definitely does not have any claim of representing people in the past. Nancy Pelosi is just another bleeding heart socialist who is to wealthy to even really know what anyones suffering is about, past or present.

It's a little less complicated..The world has always been 95% people of color. I have never found any credible information reference the selling of Africans BY Africans to the Europeans. For that matter The Europeans also bought Indians and worked them to death (e.g. Incas, Mayas), hence the need for Africans. Africans were stronger and more resilient and prolific. The reason why I say I have seen no "credible" information is because history has been revised so much and so often that one questions everything anymore.
I do know through common sense that Europeans tried to force their religion on the indians....Christianity. Hah. which heralded slavery, as though it was the right thing to do...

So NO - you CANNOT lay sole blame for slavery in the Americas at the feet of white men. That does not lessen the fact that holding other human beings in chattel slavery is evil. But there's plenty of blame to go around.

I don't think any one should be apologizing to someone that slavery never happened to, for stupidity they were never involved in! I have Native American ancestors, (plus Swedish and French) but I wouldn't want ANY European people apologizing to ME for what happened at Wounded Knee!! That kind of politically correct *BS* makes me want to barf!!!!!!!!!! The people here and now played no part in what their ancestors did to my great, great, ...? when they first came the US!!
