Hank Williams Sr. "I'm so lonesome I could cry."

I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry

Hear that lonesome whippoorwill
He sounds too blue to fly
The midnight train is whining low
I'm so lonesome I could cry

I've never seen a night so long
When time goes crawling by
The moon just went behind the clouds
To hide its face and cry

Did you ever see a robin weep
When leaves begin to die
That mean's he's lost his will to live
I'm so lonesome I could cry

The silence of a falling star
Lights up a purple sky
And as I wonder where you are
I'm so lonesome I could cry

This song has to be listened to in order to fully appreciate it. Now I'm depressed.

Trisha Yearwood has one called On a Bus to St Cloud. Her man left her, but she still see's him everywhere. It says you chase me like a shadow and you haunt me like a ghost, and I hate you some and I love you some, but I miss you most. It's soooo sad, but it gets deep into my soul for some reason.

There's this old song that my aunt used to play called "Patches". It was about this sharecroppers blind son who is singing about how the crops were lost to a bad storm and his daddy made him promise that he would pull the family through after he was gone...EEEUUUUUU!
