Lisette (traditional pronunciation = li-ZET) is a French variation of the name Elizabeth. The meaning of Elizabeth is most commonly given as "My God is a Solemn Oath" or "My Solem Oath is to God". However, it can also mean "My God is Abundance"

Lisset is an American variation of Lisette, that caters to the American propencity of having the double letters more towards the middle of the name, so as to "balance" more nicely.
