Whenever I try to open the Control Panel, it closes by itself as soon as I open it. Its up for about half a second and then closes. How do I make it so it will stay up. And it doesn' allow me to right click on the shortcut.

My guess is the school doesn't want you accessing it, so if had a program setup to close out of it anytime a student opens it.

Sounds like a registry edit, to keep any users from changing anything. I know a specific one that locks the control panel completely. And if the account you login with isn't an administrative account, you can't change the registry. Not much you can do . . . .

They probably have security on those computers to keep little miscreants like you from mucking up the settings.

They may have the option disabled or a script to do just that so students cant change any options.
