A lot of them spend a good chunk of their retirement funds gambling. Go to any boat they are gambling away their retirement.
Nothing wrong with it if they can afford to do so.

That's not always the case.
The very first lottery in Canada was won by a bunch of nuns who promptly donated the millions to the church -- as if the church needed the money!

Its not always old ppl. I watched a thing on tv a few weeks ago about the curse of the lottery....and it was mostly younger ppl...and they ruined their lives with it.
Your question should be...Why is it always idiots that win the lottery?...lol*

Probably because OLD people use that dumb money they shouldn't have and use it on slot machines at CASINOS! They really probably think that they won't win then they do. But sometimes when its 5 million NON- old people win but when its 1000000000000000million (no that's not a number) THE OLDLY MOLDIES WIN! So I hope that answers you question Have a wonderful night

Well I just saw a young, single African American mother in her late 20's win millions from the lottery and before that it was a mid 30's, Caucasian male who was homeless who won. I would like to see your statistics on your claim?

i don't know but it sucks they will all be dead soon I wonder how long the average person lives for after winning the lottery

no...not really...maybe coz more retired ppl buys the lottery than young ppl.coz they dont get money from work.

Its just plain luck, and most winners young and old that win the lotto or powerBall. They let computer pick the numbers. It all boils down to being right place the right time. ;)
