You need an 82% score to get the 90% overall score.

92X.8=73.6
82X.2=16.4

73.6+16.4=90

You need an 82%.

It is found in the following equation if x equals your exam grade:

(.80)(92) + .20x = 90

final grade is 92(.80) + x(.20), thus

.2x + 73.6 = 90

and .2x = 90 - 73.6 = 16.4

thus x = 16.4/ .2 = 164/2 = 82

92 x 0.8=73.6
90-73.6=16.4
16.4 x 5= 82

you need to get a score of at least 82 on your final exam. :)
