Of late? Sound like the same things they've been saying for decades. You could probably find an old tirage about Vietnam, and, with a little search-and-replace, render it indistinguishable from todays rants about Iraq. (Well, the grammar might've been better in the 'Nam tirade - education hadn't sunk so far in the 60s.)

No; I think it's coming from some members of the right as well:
If you speak out against the war, you're anti-American
If you support abortion, you're a baby-killer
If I'm concerned about global warming, I'm exploiting the planet for political purposes
If I say I don't care for the President or his policies, I'm told I should "always support our leader, no matter what", because it's the patriotic thing to do...
...tell that last one to Presidents Washington & Jefferson, and the statesman Franklin. They'd turn in their graves.
Frankly I think these arguments are more dangerous than yours.

Isn't it interesting how labels make it easy to disparage people.
Conservative, Liberal, Democrat, Republican...
Both Parties have failed. Neither is the savior some would have us think they are.
This applies to everyone, even if they choose to label themselves.
Those that put things into a category of us vs. them in our wonderful two party system have already fallen into the trap of classifying thought and pigeon-holing free-thinking analytical and logical discourse over the issues we face, as individuals, as a people.
It's the difference between being told what to think vs. knowing how to think.
If more people would stop parroting what they think they know and educate themselves, they could offer opinions based upon actual understanding of the facts instead of taking what others tell them and regurgitating it as all encompassing fact.

Sorry, Adam; haven't noticed that.
You can say whatever you want about the war. I don't care...
As regards abortion, I'll go with Dennis Miller:
"...if men were the ones getting pregnant, abortions would be easier to get than food poisoning in Moscow."
"As much as the advance scouts on either side of this issue might not want to admit it, good people do get abortions and other good people are pained by their decision to get one."
"Now there's some things all right-minded human beings should agree on. We should all agree that abortions should be legal in the case of rape, incest and when the mother's life is at risk -- that's just common sense. But excluding that obvious assumption, everything else in the abortion arena is 'in play.'"
"...religion is most often the backboard for every bank shot put up by someone making it their business to get into your business."
"Have the courage and strength to live your own life, by your own standards, and stop trying to call the shots for everyone else. We all live with glaring inconsistencies, and sometimes, when you see something going on right in front of you that offends you to the very core of your being, sometimes the best thing you can do is walk away, because you know that's exactly what you would want them to do for you."

Look at the bigger picture.
America keeps getting more and more liberal, there's no stopping it.
Look at Canadians, the Dutch, the UK....
When is America gonna revive its reputation and revive the American Dream.
Why can't human beings just be more accepting of other human beings regardless...?

What I find about those "arguments" you "site" is that they are almost non-existent.
Saying that you are wrong is not the same as saying you don't have the right to be wrong, or say wrong things.
So, in what non-reality-based universe are people saying those things?
Oh, they aren't?
OK.
Or did the likes of Rush the Liar tell you this?

You are more than a litle confused. You are not really asking a question, you are trying to make a statement and doing it very badly. Try to get your facts straight, then try to put them down in a rational way.
Don't fret, you are very young and will grow out of it.
