I recently enrolled into an auto motive school but am having second thoughts. I want to go to a different school and become a criminal investigator. I can even transfer over my student loans. but the only problem is i have a misdemeanor marijauna charge and i dont know if i would be elligable for a job with the government if i have a record. My question is will having the possesion charge on my record affect my ability to land a job as a criminal investigator?
-the charge happend when i was 18. I am now 21 and have long since learned from my mistake.

Be truthful when asked about the experience either verbally or in writing. Trying to hide it will create more problems for you. Many people will chalk it up to youth and a lesson learned as you stated. Good Luck!

You cannot have a criminal record and be a policeman, thats just how it works. You had your chance and lost it.
