Slightly below average for a person of any age or gender. Average in the US is 98, while worldwide the average IQ score is referred to as 100. When a person takes a professional IQ test, the test is specialized to that person's age. Age plays no part in how good the score is. A score of 70- is often an indication of mental retardation. But don't worry - just because the boy scored low on an IQ test does not mean that he is incapable of learning at a normal pace and is incapable of performing well at school and in life. IQ has no reflection on the kind of person he is or how successful he will be. If ever in doubt that he might have a learning disability, though, check with a doctor. Hope this helps! ;-)

IQ tests are age graded, so IQ should be relatively similar throughout a person's life. I harken to Forest Gump when answering the question. In the movie, the State of Alabama would not admit Forest into 'regular school' because his IQ was below 70. It is true that genius is approximately 130-140. I will allow you to infer an answer from the information I offered. If you are asking this question on Yahoo, I think you already know what the answer may be.

That is actually pretty good. I believe a genius is 140 and over.
