Hi, remember me? Anyways, I already answered that name
question for you in the other question. I am not sure about the cat probelm, because I have a hamster not a cat. Maybe, this may work. Put the fish tank in a room where it's not too sunny (like I said fish don't like alot of heat.) and is room temperature. Make sure the room is a place where the cat doesn't like to go in to or is not allowed to go in there. That way the cat cannot see the fish and will never know there's some fish in this house. If that idea doesn't work try putting the fish tank where the cat cannot reach in any possible way (unless he can fly). For example: Maybe a tall table where the cat cannot reach the table. Actually,........I have a better idea......I don't think the cat can harm your fish in any way. You should have a lid for your tank. I'm guessing that it's too heavy for your cat to reach or lift off anyways. I'm sure that your cat's claws couldn't be able to break the tank's glass. If your cat's claws have already been removed, then lucky you!! I'm sure you don't have to worry about anything! Just let your fish live in their tank for 3-4 days and watch how your cat reacts around the fish. If your cat didn't harm the fish in any way in those 3-4 days, you'll be fine! If something bad does happen in those 3-4 days, well .....if you have been watching that cat. You should be able to see the probelm and found a solution to it. That way your cat won't be able to harm the fish because you figured out the probelm or the thing that like.....you know.....always seems to make the cat harm the fish. Ummm.....Ok? If that doesn't work, (sigh)......this solution will be quite hard. You could try training the cat to not hurt your fish. Giving it treats every time it doesn't hurt the fish, may work. Otherwise, I'm pooped out of ideas! Just try using each of these instructions I gave you. They may actually work!
Well,Good Luck with your fish and cat! =]

A cover on the tank and the lid down unless in your presence should solve your problem.
Back about 30yrs ago I had a similar problem the cat used to come in when i was feeding the fish, while i was careful around the fish house in the garage by keeping the cat out, i made the mistake of leaving the hood up in the house on the big tank with my 30in arowana. what a mess and my parents didnt appreciate the vet bill for the cats amputation of its leg. however, it solved the cat jumping problem. poor fish was spitting fur balls for ages.

I have two fantailed goldfish,i called one nemo and the other i called yammie,as for your cat ,is it possible to keep the cat in another room away from your fish? like you said they are super jumpers, and its hard to keep your fishes from being the cats din din if they are in the same room.if you cant do this get some kind of a top to cover the fishtank this way the cat cannot stick a paw into the tank, mak sure that the top is secure okay.

If you keep your lid closed on the tank, your fish should be fine! Do you have a stand for your tank? I have two cats, they only look at my fish, but all my tanks have stands that are made just for the tank size, which gives other animals little space to access they fish! Good luck!

Go to an aquarium store and get a lid that fits your aquarium. If you have fish that breathe from the surface, get one with holes in it for airflow, but make sure it fits exactly on the top. If you don't own fish that breathe from the surface, you can just use a metal sheet. Even if your cat has claws, she won't be able to pry the top off.

Place a cover on the tank. You should probably use a metal screen as a cover, by using a metal screen air is free to flow in and out of the tank as compared to a lid type cover. Hardware stores will most likely have the widest choice of screens.

Put a cover on your tank. Besides keeping the cat out, it will help prevent quick evaporation of the water.
